Most small businesses are paying for four tools that ignore each other

A website here. Bookings there. A mailing list somewhere else. Customers in a spreadsheet nobody updates. It works, until you want to know who your best customer is.

Wix sells you a website. Then, one at a time, you buy the rest of it.

The jobThe usual toolAbout
WebsiteWix Business£25/mo
Taking bookingsCalendly Standardabout £10/mo
Email newslettersMailchimp Standardfrom about £16/mo, and it climbs with your list
Chasing Google reviewsa review toolabout £15 to £30/mo
Customer recordsa spreadsheet, or a CRMabout £12/mo, if you pay for one

That is roughly £70 to £100 a month, across four or five separate logins, and none of them know about each other. The person who booked on Tuesday is not the same record as the person who ordered on Friday, who is not the subscriber on your mailing list, who is not the customer you want a review from.

HD Websites is £20 a month. Add-ons are £10 a month each, or £5 when you already have one. And it is all one customer.

That last line is the actual product. It is the one thing Wix cannot do, because Wix does not know your business.

Competitor figures are approximate 2026 UK rates for comparison and change often. Check the current price before you rely on it.

If all you need is a website, Wix is fine

If all you need is a website, Wix is fine

Wix is cheap and it works. If a simple website is genuinely all you need, use it and spend the difference elsewhere. I mean that.

This page is for when you need the rest of it. When the bookings, the orders, the mailing list and the customer records all belong to the same business and should behave like it. That is the moment the four-tool sprawl starts costing you money and time, and it is the moment one joined-up system pays for itself.

Off the peg fits nobody exactly

Off the peg fits nobody exactly

A template is built for everyone, which means it is built for nobody. You spend a weekend dragging boxes around trying to make a generic layout look like your business, and it ends up looking like every other business that picked the same one.

I do it the other way round. I look at how your business actually works, what you sell, how people book you, what you need to know about your customers, and I build that. The blocks on your site are your blocks. Jazz BrewCo, That Wallpaper Shop and Hessle Rangers all run on the same platform and none of them look remotely alike, because each one got its own.

Same money as the off-the-shelf tool. A thing that fits.

How it works

1

A free 30-minute call

What the business does, what is annoying you, what you actually need. No pitch.

2

I design and build it

Bespoke, around your business. You see it as it happens with Live Preview.

3

You go live

Hosting, SSL, backups and support included from day one.

4

You add what you need, when you need it

Bookings this month, newsletters in the spring. £10 each, £5 once you have one.

5

I stay on the end of the phone

No tickets, no account manager. You message the person who built it.

No two of these look alike

That range is the point. It proves the platform is not one template wearing different colours.

3 Ninjas Pizza: a text message to a live ordering site in two weeks

3 Ninjas Pizza: a text message to a live ordering site in two weeks

It started as a text message. Two weeks later 3 Ninjas had a fully branded website with QR code ordering, running pop-up pizza nights across Hull and East Yorkshire, with orders landing in the kitchen in real time.

No template could have done that, because there was no template for a pop-up pizza night with QR ordering. There was a business, and I built the site that business needed.

Straight answers before you get in touch

No. It is monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

It is your site and your content, and it stays yours. If you ever decide to leave, I will hand over your content and I will not hold anything hostage. The platform it runs on is mine, the same way Wix owns Wix, but you are never trapped and you are never starting from a blank page.

I build bespoke. That is the whole point. Tell me what the business needs and I will build it, rather than tell you it is not on the list.

Yes, and you can see the change on your real site before you publish it, with Live Preview. Desktop and mobile, side by side.

You message me. Not a ticket queue, not an account manager. The person who built it picks it up.

For the website, yes. Hosting, SSL, backups and support are all in it. Add-ons are £10 a month each, and £5 when you already have one. Most businesses land on £30 or £35 a month all in.

Wix sells a website, then you buy bookings, email, reviews and a CRM separately, and none of them know about each other. Here it is one system that shares one customer record, built for your business by a person, for about what those separate tools cost together. If a plain website is all you need, Wix is fine. This is for when you need the rest of it.

No pitch, no pressure

Let's work out what you actually need

Thirty minutes, free, no pitch. Bring your current website and your current bills.

  • Thirty minutes, free

A straight conversation about your business, not a sales script.

  • Bring your current bills

Show me what you pay across your tools now. Often it is more than the whole thing costs here.

  • You talk to me

The developer who would build it, not a salesperson passing you on.
