What an AI business brain actually is
Most AI on business websites is a chatbot bolted on top. A business brain is a different thing. It's a private system that runs on your own data, so it can remember what matters to your business and actually do the work: answering the questions your team gets asked all day, and shifting information between the systems you already use.
The setup is easy to explain. People use a Nuxt app. Supabase holds your data, the brain's memory, and the rules about who can see what. Claude does the thinking. Because it all sits on your own database, it stays private, and it belongs to you rather than to someone else's platform.

A brain I'm building right now
Here is a real one, live at the moment (I'll keep the client anonymous). They were answering customer calls by flipping between three systems: a legacy database, their Shopify store, and their warehouse software. Every lookup meant three tabs and a guess about which one was right.
I built them a single brain that sits across all three. Someone on a call can paste an order number, an email, or a fragment of a product code, and the right record comes back in about two seconds. It also fixes a problem that used to cost them real money: what a customer typed at checkout and what the warehouse actually programmed would quietly drift apart. The brain reconciles the two and writes the corrected value back, so the three systems stop disagreeing with each other.
On top of that sits a product-knowledge assistant. Staff ask a question in plain English and it answers from the company's own documents. When it doesn't know, it says so rather than inventing an answer. That part matters more than any feature: a confident wrong answer about a spec is worse than no answer at all.
Under the hood it's the stack shown above. Nuxt for the interface, Supabase holding the data and the security rules, pgvector for the memory, and Claude doing the reasoning. It runs on the company's own accounts, locked down so each person only sees what they should, and it's theirs to keep. I'm a former Head of Development with fifteen years on production systems, so the clever part gets built on something that won't fall over.

Honest answers to the usual questions
Yes. The brain runs on your own database with row level security, so each piece of information is locked to who is allowed to see it. Nothing is shared with other clients, and your data is not used to train anyone's public model.
For most business work, yes. It's good at following instructions and using the tools you give it, and its answers come back in a structured form you can actually check. On the free call I'll tell you honestly if a simpler option would do the job.
Less than you'd expect, because I build with AI and keep the first build small. We start with one useful job, and you only continue if it pays for itself. You get a clear price before any work begins.
That's not the aim. The point is to take the repetitive work off their plate so they spend their time on the things only people can do.
