The Kind of Magento Work I Take On
Most of my Magento work falls into two categories: crisis intervention and ongoing technical oversight.
Crisis intervention is when something has already gone wrong. Performance has degraded to the point where it's affecting revenue. A security issue has been discovered. An upgrade has failed and left the site in a broken state. These situations need someone who can diagnose quickly, act decisively, and fix problems without creating new ones.
Ongoing oversight is for businesses that want to prevent crises rather than react to them. This means having a senior technical consultant who understands your platform, monitors its health, plans upgrades and patches carefully, and provides guidance on technical decisions. It's the difference between fighting fires and having proper fire prevention.
What I don't do is commodity support — answering tickets, making small content changes, handling routine admin tasks. If that's what you need, there are more cost-effective options. My value is in the depth of expertise and the accountability that comes with working directly with a senior consultant.
